D’Ornano Partners advised the Groupama Group, the French leader of the insurance market, on the acquisition of Express Life Bulgaria IJSC, a member of the Hungarian OTP Group.
We assisted Groupama Zhivotozastrahovane EAD, the Bulgarian subsidiary of the Groupama Group, in the acquisition of 100% of the capital of Express Life Bulgaria IJSC from DSK Bank EAD and Expressbank AD, Bulgarian subsidiaries of OTP Bank plc.
Express Life Bulgaria IJSC was founded by the French Société Générale and was acquired by the Hungarian OTP Group in January 2019.
The financial closing of the transaction is expected to take place in the coming months subject to the receipt of all necessary regulatory approvals.
Through this acquisition, Groupama Group will further strengthen its position on the Bulgarian market.
